During the elections we come to know through media about the cache
by the law enforcing agencies which include illicit drugs, liquor or cash. Later
we hear about the corrupt practices adopted by some of the politicians. We hear
about the road blockages, long speeches etc.
We forget about the actual roots of corruption. Many of us
forget to say no to the drugs, liquor or cash when it is offered for votes. We
forget to think that he may plan to compensate the expenditure incurred during
the elections. We forget to think he may accumulate money to spend during the
next elections. Why some of us think he will indulge in corruption for us only?
Why don’t we think he shall adopt the wrong means to gather the money for
himself& his family if gathered the money for the above said purposes?
Why we forget self analysis? Those having a powerful voice or
a mighty pen& our religious preachers can make us to think, “Are we not
providing a well fertilized land for corruption?” It is impossible to make a
corruption free nation till we don’t know& realize the actual root of
corruption…
