Evening colleges-A gateway to development…

There are very few evening colleges in most of the areas. Many areas are without evening colleges. The policy of learning while earning fails where the timing of the evening college starts before five pm.
If the Government or the private colleges pay attention towards infra structure and the competent staff there will be more and more enrollment of the students.
It will not be a boon for those only who want to continue their study along with their livelihood but it will be beneficial for the society as well because it will create the educated class all around.
It is the moral duty of every Government to think about the poor who are less privileged for their development and give them equal opportunity for the progress.

Advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones used by school students

Mobile phones, like other things have advantages as well as disadvantages. If it is taken to school there are chances of distraction from studies and cheating. There are chances of invasion of privacy by its misuse. It may also cause accident if attended while driving towards the school.
But! A big but! It is an attack on the freedom of a student as well as an insult of the decision of most of the parents who gave mobile phone to their children, if it is banned to bring it to the school. So far as distraction from the studies is concerned the authority may instruct to keep it in silence mode and may ask the students not to bring the mobile in the examination hall to stop cheating by its misuse. Mobile is a substitute of paper and pencil. It may also help to add to the knowledge through internet use. Its proper use can be taught to the students by the teachers and parents. It is one of the best tools used after the school in life. So there remains no idea to ban mobile phones in school. We must believe our children and their intelligence.

Moreover the safety of the children must be given priority as the mobile phone keeps the children and the parents in contact with each other.  Its misuse by a few students should not be the cause to ban mobile phone in the school.

Eradication of poverty:

Increase in prices at global level is a great threat and the reason to increase poverty at global level.
Poverty compels people not to send their children especially girls to school resulting early marriage which further aggravates the situation by the increase in the population which is directly proportional to the poverty. Circumstances direct us to give top priority to this issue otherwise there will be birth of vicious cycle and there will be no end of poverty.
It is the moral duty of every Government to impart training to the people and make them skilled so that they may fulfill the basic needs of their family through decent jobs.
Health care, education and housing should not be a major problem for anybody.
To understand poor people we should often visit them and talk to them so that we may understand that what they know and what can be done to uplift them and eradicate the poverty from the globe.
There should be no discrimination but there should be tolerance and respect for diversity across the globe.
It is important to know who deserves the responsibility to lead the nation and can eradicate the poverty.  People should rise up above other unimportant issues and should focus on eradication of poverty, decent job and social relationship. They should use the power to vote with great care. People should vote and support person with responsive decision making capabilities.

The echo of the poor man’s voice should reach to the persons having international influence.

Rape a violation of human rights

Though 25th November is celebrated as the international day for eliminating violence against women& 25th of every month is observed as the day to wear orange color to show solidarity with the campaign to end violence against women/ girls still there is violation against women and girls.
It is a threat to security of about 50% of the total population of the world.
We must explore the ways to end this menace.
Feeding wrong masculine cult gives birth to violation against women/girls. A wrong old saying like “Women and bells must be struck regularly” further aggravates their grievances.
Violence against women and girls is the violence against the humanity.
Many girls are married before 18 thus curbing their chances of progress and creating many other problems. Violence against women and girls has reached to an intolerable situation. We are to explore how to prevent this cruelty.  We are to unite and raise awareness to stop menace of violence against women and girls.
More women are to be deployed at all important places.
Ensure access to essential services if crime is committed.  Many women/girls suffer in silence. It the responsibility of all the Governments to humanize those men folk who have strayed from the right path on which they should be.

Without persistent efforts we cannot get rid of this menace.

Honor of the voters:

Many deserving people are kept outside parliament by the present system& intention.
There are a number of people who are undisputed and have done a lot in their field. There is no dearth of people who don’t want to plunge in election process either due to money or lack of interest.
Nomination of a person to Rajya Sabha who has not won the seat in elections is not only insult of the voters but a denial to competent man from his field.
The right of nomination should be confined to the selection of person who has appreciable achievements in his field and has not participated to get himself elected.
It will not only be the justice to a deserving man but will give the society the best what can be dreamed about.

Not to nominate a person who had been defeated in the election will be an acceptance of the people’s verdict and give a chance to the party and the person concerned to think about the reasons of the failure thus giving them chance to improve themselves in future.

Actual roots of corruption

During the elections we come to know through media about the cache by the law enforcing agencies which include illicit drugs, liquor or cash. Later we hear about the corrupt practices adopted by some of the politicians. We hear about the road blockages, long speeches etc.
We forget about the actual roots of corruption. Many of us forget to say no to the drugs, liquor or cash when it is offered for votes. We forget to think that he may plan to compensate the expenditure incurred during the elections. We forget to think he may accumulate money to spend during the next elections. Why some of us think he will indulge in corruption for us only? Why don’t we think he shall adopt the wrong means to gather the money for himself& his family if gathered the money for the above said purposes?

Why we forget self analysis? Those having a powerful voice or a mighty pen& our religious preachers can make us to think, “Are we not providing a well fertilized land for corruption?” It is impossible to make a corruption free nation till we don’t know& realize the actual root of corruption…

Loneliness

All the characters& the incidents in this story are fictitious& bear no resemblance with any one dead or alive. Any resemblance if found may be regarded as purely coincidence

Rakesh was very happy. He was going abroad after suffering due to poverty. He was not having a good job in the country he was born in. He knew whatsoever he will earn will be multiplied due to value of currency. He was moving briskly due to happiness. He was thinking he will be a great support to his kids& wife.
He got his ticket booked. At last the time came& he went abroad. He could not take his family along with him due to certain complications. He worked hard& earned the money. He sent all the money to his wife for the betterment of his family.
Rakesh’s wife increased her visits to her own relatives. She cut off the relations with Rakesh’s relatives. Her increased visits& lavish spending not only depleted her money but wasted their kids’ time. He stamped ok to every move of his wife whenever he came to his family for spending his holidays.
At last the time came when he joined back his family after his retirement from his job! He was taken aback when he came to know there was not sufficient amount as expected by him.  His both the daughters ignored the education when he was abroad. Worst was about Harmesh, his son. He was successful only in entangling a beautiful girl by his gifts which his father has sent to his family. He was unable to get education. He could not go abroad also.
Harmesh& his girl friend were running from pillar to post to get married because they were indulged in physical relations which resulted in his girl friend’s pregnancy. Harmesh got married to the girl but he was totally dependent on his father’s meager money as he was still unemployed.
Where there is poverty quarrel finds its way. Soon quarrel of Harmesh started with whole of the family members. Rakesh fixed his eldest daughter’s marriage according to her education. His second daughter was having a grudge that Harmesh who is younger to her has married& is having a child. Rakesh had to sell his big house to meet the expenses. He preferred to purchase a small house.
Rakesh fixed his second daughter’s marriage also. Again education was the criteria to find a suitable groom.
In the mean time doctors declared that Rakesh’s wife is suffering from cancer. Rakesh spend the rest of his money in the treatment of his wife but it was of no use she expired when her only son was away along with his family after quarreling.
Rakesh was feeling loneliness in spite of having two daughters who rarely visited him. His son was living away along with his family. Harmesh considered his parents are responsible for his lack of education& as a result his poverty, which he realized was wrong after death of his father.

The wrong decision

All the characters& the incidents in this story are fictitious& bear no resemblance with any one dead or alive. Any resemblance if found may be regarded as purely coincidence.

I dedicate this story to my friends who has stood by me in all circumstances.

Shakti was basking in his garden& enjoying the beauty of nature! He was seeing the birds which were flying in the sky. Butterflies were changing the flowers to sit upon. It took his mind to the past.
He remembered Kanjali, the girl he was interested to marry to. He used to meet her almost every week. He as well as others around him knew that he will have a bright carrier.
Rajesh a close friend of him came to know about his love affairs. He was having sweet words at his command. He entangled Kanjali. She was mistaken that he may also have a good carrier. She convinced her parents also. Shakti remembered she was not good in her studies& would have to depend upon her life partner whoever he will be. She started her love affairs with Shakti& Rajesh. Her parents helped her to meet both the boys separately.  She developed her sex relations with Rajesh.
Her mother disallowed Rajesh to come to the house& discontinued to take her daughter to meet him as it was clear that Rajesh was not going to have a good carrier. Shakti was busy in his studies to reach his goal. In the meanwhile she developed relations with Perminder who used to take her out for enjoying sex. Perhaps it was demand of her body not to live without a man.
She was arrested by the police along with Perminder for creating obscenity in public place but later both of them were released after warning& perhaps some punishment.
Shakti received many letters for the job due to his ability. He joined a good job with a handsome salary& married Kanjali. She gave birth to a beautiful girl. She abandoned the house along with her daughter& valuable articles. Shakti tried to bring her back. He was having no other choice except to knock the door of the court where he proved his innocence.
She agreed to come back& the case was dropped. She lived for a few days& again abandoned the house. After few years she framed a false case against Shakti in the court. The case took its own course. It was during the case that Shakti came to know that many years back she received a divorce certificate& married another boy who left for some foreign country. She developed sexual relations with his friend& many others. It was clear that she was having no right to sue him to the court.
Shakti compelled by his nature did not take the revenge& both of them decided to settle the case. Shakti never used the proof he was having against her.

As per her nature she kept changing the men in her life which tarnished her image. Tarnished image, dim education& ripened age decided her fate to marry a poor man& live the rest of her life in poverty. Shakti heard the news of her death which made him sad. He was thinking she was beautiful to look at. If she would have chosen to remain sincere to one person& focused on education& knew the right time of marriage her life would have been different.

Politicization of Every Issue

In most of the countries when anything goes wrong the political parties try to make their own axe grind& the game of spitting on each other starts. Same is the case of intoxicants. Instead of tackling the case political parties try to woe the voters in their camp& start mud throwing on each other along with their followers.
There may or may not be dispensary in a village but the illegal& the affordable drugs may be there. There is a frequent use of drugs in elections& sowing seasons in most of the places. Use of alcohol is a common thing to be seen in most of the marriages.
Religious teachers& social organizations should come forward to help the world instead of depending upon the law enforcing agencies& stop the river of intoxicants to flow. It will not only help the world but will reduce politicization of the issue.

TEACH THE PERSON HOW TO FISH

Most of the political parties& individuals in politics are in a race to prove that they are well wishers of the poor. Help of small amount by the Government should be considered as an insult to God Who made man according to his own image. Is the Government trying to make a person a beggar? Is the Government serious about the embezzlement of funds meant for poverty alleviation?
In some parts of the world people especially women remain hungry. People are undernourished. They don’t have better place for living, clean water to drink. People die due to health problems like diarrhoea, malaria etc. due to lack of health facilities.
In most of the countries people are jobless or are low paid. They are unable to fulfill the basic needs of life, they are unable to take care of their children.
The governments should have right data of jobless& low paid workers. Government should arrange for the skill training & should arrange for the job. It should not give a fish rather teach the public how to fish. They should not forget that if they give a person a fish he shall eat it a day but if they teach him how to fish he shall eat throughout his life. It is the moral duty of every Government to see at least one person in a family gets a job to fulfill the basic needs of the family. It needs an unconditional war against poverty …
